GYMNASTICS FOR BOYS AND MEN IN DRONFIELD

Men’s Artistic Gymnastics is an Olympic sport consisting of 6 pieces of apparatus: the vault, the floor exercise, the high bar, the parallel bars, the rings and the pommel horse. Boys train from age 5 and can begin competing at 7 years of age and work their way up through the various grades and levels. Reaching the top levels requires intense training. At DGA, we have a well-established MAG programme that nurtures competitive gymnasts from grass routes up to national competitors.

Gymnasts begin in our one hour a week sessions and can progress through to our Foundation Squad (4-7 years of age) to our Development Squad programme to our Boys and Men’s squads. We run trials each year and take great care to select those with a natural aptitude towards gymnastics.

We encourage our coaching team to continually progress their coaching skills and knowledge by attending workshops, camps and courses and we foster an environment where our coaches share knowledge and support one another with their continuous development.

We have a dedicated viewing gallery for parents to watch classes from upstairs should they wish or you can drop your child off and pick them up again at the end of class. Our facility boasts a viewing gallery for parents, a fully stocked café with hot & cold drinks and snacks.
